FACIAL RECOGNITION

When a user opts to employ Biometric Facial Recognition within our Application, Thegana ID will capture an image of the user's face via a mobile app, typically taken as a selfie. Additionally, a photo or scan of their unaltered identification document will be collected. The primary intent behind utilizing Thegana ID's facial recognition or verification technology is to validate the identity of the person portrayed in the identification document. These records will be stored solely within the user's device until facial verification is completed. It is essential to emphasize that Thegana ID does not maintain any facial recognition data beyond this verification process.

The processing of personal information occurs locally on the user's phone, with the security of the phone dictating the confidentiality of this information. For communication of usage data, the application employs encrypted network connections to ensure privacy.
